andreagandini1.jpg

Andrea Gandini was born in Milan around 30 years ago.

After a some years spent in Bologna, to graduate in Art History, he moves to Paris to escape the Army’s call and to see if the “Ville Lumiere” would have enlighten his life as well.

He worked some years as photographer assistant and then started his own way of independent photographer.

His eclectic vision of photography itself forces him to work using different supports and to look always for different subjects.

Fashion as reportage, reportage as a mirror of reality, end experimentation as the key for his creative survival. Andrea often crosses the line that should separate the commercial photography and the rest of the visual arts.
From a stylistic point of view, he has a deep and conscious faith in the power on natural light and in the creative possibilities of improvisation.

He has regular collaborations with magazines such as Vogue Italia, Io Donna, Max, Cosmopolitan and has been awarded adverts for Trussardi, Birra Peroni, North Sails, Harry&Sons and others.

Today he is involved in a personal research on a new lecture of pinhole photography and he is working on a conceptual project of large format pictures.
